So it turns out my new surname is Jong. Chinese tradition dictates that I take my husband's name and Jong is the phonetic equivalent of the first syllable of Dan's non-Chinese surname. Dan and Heidi Jong. It's pretty weird. But I got red pockets with the Jong character on it so it'll be funny when we give those out.
